This study provides an overview of the effects of exercise on cognition in young adults. Most studies have focused on the benefits of exercise in older adults, likely because of the higher incidence of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of cognitive decline associated with aging. In this article, we analyze current evidence from previous studies and discuss how a study published in the Brazilian Journal of Motor Behavior contributes to this body of knowledge.
